Ilayathalapathy Vijay has faced several ups and downs in his career. He too have rejected several film offers, which have later went on to become blockbusters.
Mudhalvan:
This film has actually featured Arjun in the lead, but how many of you know that it was initially offered to Rajiniakanth and later to Vijay. But both of them denied to feature in the film.
This film has marked the directorial debut of A.R.Murugadoss, after assisting S.J.Suryah for a very long time. He offered ‘Dheena’ to Vijay initially, and later the project went to Ajith.
'Anegan'
Director K.V.Anand approached Vijay with the script of 'Anegan'. Though the actor was impressed with the plot, he didn't signed the project due to date issues. Actor Dhanush has later featured in the project, and the film went on to become a blockbuster.
Paruthiveeran:
Ameer's Paruthiveeran is a much talked about movie at the time of its release, and actor Karthi has got a rocking debut with this movie. Director Ameer has initially offered this role to Vijay, but he turned down the offer as he doubted its commercial potential of the script.
Sanghamithra:
This is an upcoming project to be directed by Sundar.C, and is said to be made with a mega budget. Sundar.C has approached Vijay with the offer, but he turned it down, as the project needs one year of callsheet.
